There’s a new Philippine TV show called Digital Photo Plus which will have its premiere episode broadcast on Studio 23 at 10:30-11:00 AM tomorrow Saturday, 30th of October 2010. The show will provide viewers insights on how professional photographers go about their shoots, and will offer technical information on their sessions. There will also be tips from the Canon Ambassadors.
Pilar Tuason, a well-known photographer in the Philippines and Editor-In-Chief of the Digital Photographer Philippines magazine, has a new radio show entitled “The Perfect Exposure”. The show is on the DZRJ Radyo Bandido station, 810 on your AM dial, and is broadcast every Saturday 12 noon. Pilar talks about photography on her hour-long show and it will feature prominent Filipino photographers as her guests.
The much-awaited Canon PhotoMarathon 2010 – Manila leg has been officially announced. This whole-day photography contest is open to all Canon point-and-shoot, DSLR and video camera users. The event will be from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, 6 November 2010 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Central Business Park, Pasay City. Registration is still closed as of now, but will open at 1:30PM on Monday, 25 October 2010. Contest rules and registration are at the PhotoMarathon site. Registration is free, and a large number of participants are expected, so be quick to sign up on Monday if you want to join.
The Pinoy Photography Organization recently held its 5th Anniversary event entitled “PiPho 5x: The Passion Lives On” last Saturday 9th October at the SM City North EDSA Cyberzone. This event was the culmination of the organization’s 5th anniversary celebration, which started with two PiPho photography exhibits held at Eastwood and Shangri-La malls months before. More than 500 PiPho online forum members had signed up for PiPho 5x, and there was a big crowd in attendance on the day itself.
The long-awaited Canon Photomarathon 2010 for the Philippines has been announced today via Facebook. This time, the Photomarathon will happen in Metro Manila, Cebu City and Davao City, making this a nationwide event. It will kick off in Cebu City on the 16th of October 2010, followed by Davao City on the 24th of October 2010, and culminate on the 6th of November in Metro Manila. The Cebu and Davao legs will give Canon camera users in the southern parts of the Philippines the opportunity to join this event. Canon users can join via online registration at the Canon Photomarathon 2010 site. Registration is free and starts tomorrow 9 October 2010, 12PM Philippine time (GMT+8).
